PROJECT : HAPPYMONDAY will create video content highlighting HBO’s Culture Made; a multi-city, multi-day experience consisting of several activations targeted towards the local Black community and culture in which guests will celebrate their accomplishments and create a stronger relationship with HBO.

The film will showcase the energy and excitement of the hosts and attendees. The goal is to show HBO’s uplifting involvement in and success facilitating dialogue and collaboration with local talent and community partners. Delivery includes two videos recapping the overall event.

 VIDEO BRIEF

EVENT CAPTURE
Video team will be responsible to capture the event in its entirety. HAPPYMONDAY’s goal is to make the viewer feel like they are at the party - to create an immersive experience through visuals and capture all aspects of it thoughtfully and creatively. Make sure we cover the shotlist but beyond that think creatively. Experiment and run ideas by the director. Footage should feel elevated but later in the night party footage can be a bit more gritty and raw looking. 

Two camera set up. A Sony mirrorless on a Ronin S gimbal and an additional Sony mirrorless handheld or on the monopod.

TALENT INTERVIEW
At 7:00 pm HAPPYMONDAY video team should be set up and ready to interview Megan Thee Stallion. This will be a proper sit down interview with lighting and dedicated audio capture. It will be conducted by a Spotify rep and will include liners for social once the interview is complete. 
Two camera set up: C200 as the cam A providing a straight on angle with internal audio capture and Sony A73 as cam B from the side on a monopod. Shot in 24fps. Be mindful of vertical frame. 


 

CALLOUTS

  • Shoot in 60fps unless there is fast moving action and then shoot in 120fps

  • Picture profile : PP7

  • Make sure time and date on camera is set to the current time zone. 

  • During the performance make sure we have one angle from the back of the room pointed at the performer. Capture the entirety of the performance as a static angle. Make sure this angle has an on camera mic capturing clean audio.

IG STORY

In the moment delivery of vertical clips telling the story of Megan’s  HOTTIE RANCH event for Spotify’s IG story.

SHORT FILM

HAPPYMONDAY will tell the story of Megan’s journey to being a breakthrough artist in the hip-hop industry through a compelling film. We’ll feature footage from the hottie ranch, and interview footage intermingled from both Megan and select hotties of her choice about her upcoming project, how the Hottie parties started and what it means to be a hottie. 

Edit should feel fresh and dynamic with a unique treatment. 

This should feel different than the IG story.

PHOTO BRIEF

EVENT CAPTURE

Photo team will be responsible to capture the event in its entirety with two photographers. HAPPYMONDAY’s goal is to create imagery that feels dynamic and fresh. We need standard coverage of the setting and event but beyond that think creatively and find unique angles. Make sure we cover the shotlist but beyond that think creatively. Experiment and run ideas by the director. Both photographers should sync up after the walk through and have a plan of how you will split responsibilities of coverage.

TALENT CAPTURE

Once you arrive on location and have done a walk through please scout a location for a portrait of the artist. Test lighting and make sure the process is seamless. Please keep in mind that you will not have a lot of time with the artist.

  • Shoot all images in RAW

  • Make sure time and date on camera is set to the current time zone. 

  • There are two photographers on this shoot make sure you avoid redundancies. Communicate with one another to capture variety

  • During the performance make sure we have one angle from the back of the room pointed at the performer that captures the energy of the room including the crowd and stage. (see inspo in next page)

Each person has $100 to spend on meals for the project. You will need to have receipt for all purchases in order to be reimbursed.
