Role
We're looking for a Production Assistant to join our team. This is a junior role fit for somebody just getting started in the production space. You will wear many hats, allowing you to have touch points with all aspects of production. Mainly we are looking for somebody who will assist on all aspects of the production pipeline, including pre-production and gear prep, on ground assistance in all aspects of production and equipment inventory management. This is a full time position in our production studio in Brooklyn and the role requires light studio assisting responsibilities as well. You will work closely with DPs, directors, producers and play an integral part in making production successful.
This is not a film production role. We do not operate as traditional film production companies do. Our focus is on social content production and the role requires that you view each production through that lens.
We are a small team that is moving at a fast pace. You will gain hands-on-experience at video/photo shoots, fashion shows, concerts, brand activations and other live events. You will also have the chance to travel as needed. The opportunity to grow is exponential as you will get varied production experience.
Responsibilities include:
Assisting in production wherever needed
Pre-production preparation for shoots including but not limited to: packing and unpacking of gear, cleaning of lenses and sensors, charging of batteries, and keeping a checklist of inventory
On-shoot support including but not limited to: load in and out of gear, set up and breakdown of equipment, charging of batteries, card handoff, general assistance for all team members, maintaining on site care and safety of equipment, run necessary errands
Maintenance of gear including managing repairs
Equipment inventory
Day to day studio tasks
Capturing BTS content
Positive and friendly attitude towards all production team members
Qualifications / what you bring:
NYC based and fully vaccinated
Recent college graduation preferred
Must have some production experience
Working knowledge of dslr systems and studio equipment
Must be able to handle moving around heavy cases and equipment
Hungry, passionate and excited about production
Prompt and reliable with communication and emails
Must follow direction well and be solution oriented
Must be punctual, there are no exceptions to this
Flexibility with schedule, may need to work on weekends based on project specific needs
